quizzes and memes :)

Taken from [livejournal.com profile] luciademedici:

No matter what the genre, whether or not they have words, or even if they're not any good, but they must be songs you're really enjoying now. Post these instructions in your livejournal along with your seven songs. Then tag seven other people to see what they're listening to.

1. Huwag na lang kaya by True Faith
2. Sway by Bic Runga
3. Radio by The Corrs
4. Head over feet by Alanis Morisette
5. Red right hand by Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds
6. Nemo by Nightwish
7. First of summer by Urbandub

Tagging: whoever wants to do this meme. :)

The return of the page 123 meme!

Obviously, both solutions could not represent the real world. We now know that neither of them represents the real world, and that is not seen as a problem. But at the time this was something of a blow to Einstein's theory, since it could be argued that if the theory offered a choice of universes, all consistent with the basic equations, it couldn't be telling us much, if anything, about the real Universe. That argument scarcely held up once the expansion of the Universe was understood, and astronomers realized that Einstein's equations had indeed been predicting this for at least ten years before Hubble's announcement of the red-shift-distance relation.

I love this book. This is the book that let me pass Chemistry in my junior year of HS (quantum theory+orbitals+sub-atomic particles=LOVE!), and Physics in 4th year (particle-wave dynamics+electromagnetic fields+photons+the speed of light=LOVE!) Yes, I am a nerd by heart. *nerds*
