3. I'm going to be a ninang for my youngest cousin in my father's side. Whee. :)

4. My ninong told me to go find a boyfriend, because apparently, I'm too old to be single. WHUT?

5. I am so glad my family is not the traditional type, else I'll be deprived of civilization, and would have to stand vigil in the cemetery tonight.

Well, we call our godfathers "ninong", which is a bastardization of the Spanish word padrino (surrogate father). (Also, a child could have as many as twenty godfathers/godmothers if his/her parents decide to have that many; although why would anyone do that, I have no idea...)

i sure hope you won't take your ninong's (errr, i'm thinking of a euhphemism for parochial but i can only think of uglier words so i guess i'll just stick with--) BARRIOTIC comment-- there.
