This made me laugh so much. It reminds me of conversations with my mom that go like this:

Mom: Val, na-ano mo na ba yung ano at ano?
Me: Oo, na-ano ko na yung ano.
Mom: Sige, 'wag mong kalimutan anuhin din yung ano mamaya, ha.

And whenever my sister and I spot Mormon missionary n00bs on the elevator, we'd go "Bababa ba?" "Bababa!" to confuse them. xD Ahahaha. I love confusing foreigners. They always get a classic "WTF?!" look on their faces when we do that. xD

There are Mormon missionaries where you live? Actual ones that knock on doors and go "Hi, we're mormons" and start preaching?

Ehehe, excuse my noobness. Always wanted to see em in action, ysee. All I ever see from them is their (well-designed!) church near white plains. XD

No; in the 6+ years I've lived here, the missionaries never rang our doorbell and started evangelizing. xD They're really our neighbors; there are about 20+ elderly couples living in our building alone. :D

Actually, what sets the n00bs apart is their cringe-worthy attempts at saying "magandang umaga/tanghali/hapon/gabi sa inyo!" The long-term residents have either mastered those phrases, or gave up on them altogether. xD
