musings

I watched A Clockwork Orange earlier, courtesy of Riza, my source of weird, morbid, and/or macabre movies. I'm still kind of shell-shocked by it, so I couldn't verbalize (or, to be more precise, write down) my reactions to it. The biggest of those shocks was that Malcolm McDowell, he of the Mr. Linderman from Heroes fame, played Alex DeLarge! But that's not what I wanted to talk about.

The film featured a type of operant conditioning that makes the person being conditioned to have an adverse reaction to sex and violence. As I watched the 'conditioning' scenes, I found myself analyzing the experiment, to determine what the US, CS, UR, and CR were. And that was when I realized that I hate B.F. Skinner just as much as I hate Freud.
