delayed SPN squeeage
I know I said that I don't like where the season's plot arc was going. But you know what? I WAS WRONG. I actually sat up and paid attention to what was happening throughout the episode. The last time I did that was when I was watching 5.10, but that was only because I was looking for material that would help me make an awesome GO/SPN crossover.
Anyway. Reasons why my faith in Supernatural was restored:
I can't wait to watch the next episodes. :DDDDDDDDDDDDD
Anyway. Reasons why my faith in Supernatural was restored:
1. THEY BROUGHT ADAM BACK. They brought back an Adam who's not happy about being killed by a monster! An Adam who shares his brother's highly refined (snerk) palate! An Adam who ONLY WANTS TO SEE HIS MOM AGAIN! I really, really hope he's not doing a stint as Michael's Vessel (we didn't see his eyes burn out of his sockets after all), but I'd like to think it'd take a long time for them to make him say yes, if he would at all. Gragh. This show slays me, I swear.
2. Castiel is one big BAMF, and I love love love the part where he beats the crap out of Dean. Dean, honey, you know Castiel only hurts you because he loves you, right? The guy kills freaking angels for you, and you're still not hitting that?
3. The fanservice! Sam and Dean, the Erotically Co-dependent Duo! Dean and Castiel -- Just Bonk Each Other Senseless Already! Handcuffed!Dean! AwesomeLittleBrother!Sam! What's not to love?
4. Dean finally sees how awesome Sam is. FINALLY. Oh God. The way he's been treating Sam the entire season had me gnashing my teeth at the screen. I admit that I'm very much a Dean Girl, but seriously -- Dean losing faith in the one person who would never stop believing in him? It made me want to bash his head in. I'm so very glad that they're finally, finally going to be equals during the final showdown. Their brotherly love was the first thing that drew me to the show, and it was the one thing that sustained my interest in it. I didn't enjoy the majority of this season's episodes because both these boys (but Dean especially) are so emotionally constipated that the freaking Apocalypse wasn't enough to restore their relationship, but this episode let me realize how much I freaking love this show all over again.
I can't wait to watch the next episodes. :DDDDDDDDDDDDD
