Comments: Brilliant fic. Just...just...brilliant. Word of advice: do not read while eating and/or drinking. :D

"If we don't agree to get married then they're going to kill us."
"I'd like you to get down on one knee."
"Donna!"
"Lance got down on one knee."
"Lance was using you to chat up the Empress of the Racnoss!"
"I know, and I'm surprised that you don't want to do it better than him."
The Doctor sank down on one knee, the pointy sticks followed him. He gritted his teeth and asked, "Donna Noble, will you marry me?"

Summary: Slightly postseries. Mystique unleashes the full force of Rogue’s powers against an unknown woman, leaving Rogue stranded far from home, in the power of a former enemy, and altered forever. The incident of Carol Danvers, Evolution style.
Comments: First in a series of stories, of which there are currently four. Writing is top-notch and it manages to merge Evo- and comic-verse canon seamlessly.
Excerpt:
She touched down, left foot first, brushing her wind-tangled hair out of her face. “How was that, Lieutenant?”
“That was good, Carol. Good run. Hurry up and get changed, and meet me in the mess. The propulsion team wants to go over their design specs with us.”
“Yes, sir.” She grabbed a towel hanging on the back of a nearby chair and dabbed the sweat from her face. “My gosh, this humidity!”
“That’s Florida for you.”
She turned to head for her changing room when a strange voice called out to her. “Miss Danvers! Excuse me!”
The voice belonged to a woman, short and plain, starting to go gray, practically dragging behind her a teenage girl in the dark garb and heavy makeup of a goth. The girl’s eyes were unfocused. Probably stoned out of her mind, poor thing.
A great surge of pity welled up inside her. She wanted to give the girl as tight a hug as she could bear, but settled instead for shaking her hand—
And then all was agony and panic—

Summary: The story of a friendship one hundred and twenty-two years in the making.
Comments: Legolas and Gimli friendship fic. One of the best I've read.
Excerpt:
Years passed, and the rowan grew, sending forth many branches as its roots continued to dig deep into the mountain. In the spring, its flowers were as tiny snowflakes bobbing gently above the Hornburg, and in the fall, its leaves gleamed golden as they danced and twisted in the wind. For Gimli, the tree became a sanctuary of sorts. Even if he had not the time for the steep trek up toward the Thrihyrne, he could still look up and see the lone rowan. All in Helm's Deep could, and all drew strength from the tree that clung to the mountain. Even the winter storms could not harm it, for it was both sheltered and rooted by rock. And as the tree grew, so grew the dwarven colony of Aglarond.

Summary: Percy Weasley recieves some fictional inspiration before realizing that Authority, though Authority, is not always right. Through DH, he tries to do the right thing, rescue Muggleborns without losing his life or his job, and find the right laws.
Comments: I love the Percy voice in this story. There are too few Percy fics around, and this is one of the more brilliant ones. Also, using another Percy to frame HP!Percy's exploits tickles me to no end. There can never be too much Percy love, of any variety!
Excerpt:
“What have you got there, Weasley?” she asked.
Percy looked at his clenched fist. “Er….” He had unconsciously crumpled up Penelope Clearwater’s questionnaire.
“Hand it over.”
Percy did so, having been trained for years to obey authority.
“Now, Weasley,” Umbridge continued on, her voice so syrupy sweet Percy wondered why she wasn’t diabetic, “why did you crumple up this questionnaire? Did the nasty Mudblood lie to us?”
Dolores Umbridge, Percy thought miserably, had an ability hithero unknown outside of his family, to make him feel like a naughty five-year-old. “No.”
“Then why did you do this to Penelope Clearwater’s questionnaire? I know you would not be… disloyal to the Ministry, so what is this filthy Mudblod to you? Did she misspell something? I know you dislike that.”
Percy felt the back of his neck heat up again. “I was- she was my first girlfriend,” he said stiffly, too proud to tag on that she had been his only girlfriend. He felt he ought to tag something on, but couldn’t quite think of it.
“Oh, embarrassed, are you?” Yaxley asked.
Percy nodded quickly. He was embarrassed- mostly because Penelope had completely rejected him, again, even though he was Assistant to the Minister of Magic himself, and partly because he had been caught trying to keep Penelope, however unconsciously, from coming to trial.
