Comments: The reason why I just love Eomer/Lothiriel fics is because there's no established canon for their romance, not even in the Unfinished Tales. Which is really a shame, since Eomer is one of my favorite characters. Anyway, I love this fic because everyone's characterizations are spot on, and the author's interpretation of Lothiriel is so good that I can really see the possibility of romantic frisson between her and Eomer. What I mean to say is, their romance isn't contrived. It feels natural. It's definitely one of the best LOTR fics I've read.

Comments: Quasi-sci-fi explanations for Hollows make my day. Really. And the character dynamics make me squee, especially the Nanao/Ukitake/Shunsui interactions. :D

Comments: Little Women is one of the first "serious" books I ever read, and crossing it over with Austen novels made me squee with glee when I saw this gem of a fic on FF.net.

Rurouni Kenshin/Star Wars crossover fusion! How can it get any better than this?

You know what I want to read? A LOTR fanfic with a boy, instead of a girl, falling into Middle-earth. Alas that I only found one, and not only did it mangle canon so badly, it did so in a way I've never seen before that I simply had to continue reading.

Imagine, if you will, a typical English schoolboy trying to speak French in Rohan (yes, I know) and being incarcerated for knowing "Elvish". But that's not all! Apparently, hobbits of the Shire speak English, and Westron is apparently another name for German. Hee.

It made my brain explode so bad, I wanted to read it again. Reading the fic was fun, especially the part where a nice Rohirric lass gets pushed on him so they'd be wed. *snerk*

I should stop reading WIPs, I really should. I don't think my mind could cope with this much stress anymore.

Comments: I love this. It's set post-movie, with the Franco-Prussian war as the backdrop of the story, and I've always been a sucker for stories set during periods of war. Plus, it has Erik gallivanting traipsing going around the French countryside in broad daylight, and in a very plausible manner too, which makes me love this piece more. But don't think that this is a light-hearted fic, because it isn't. Really.

I've just finished reading a fanfic that's almost like the Star Wars equivalent of The Bagenders, only it's less cracky and more epic.

Yeah.

I should probably stop procrastinating and start working on revising my Fil paper right now...
