my first and second days of school. *bow*
DAY ONE
MA 12 - Our teacher is Ronald Calderon, who seems to be the poster boy for Note-taking Freaks Anonymous. I guess it's a good thing that I resolved to study more for Math this semester, because the guy fairly radiated You-Better-Take-Down-Notes-Or-Else vibes all throughout the lecture. And...um...what else? Oh yeah. We'll have a quiz this Wednesday. Joy.
EN 101 & LIT 14 Unfortunately (for us, anyway), Sir Oca was given a grant to finish his dissertation and finally earn his Ph.D. Therefore, our class was passed on to one of his proteges, Charlene Diaz. She seems nice enough, although she doesn't project her voice too well.
PE 112 According to the AISIS site, our teacher should've been a guy called Mr. Rosales. But then our teacher went up to us and introduced himself as Mr. Cheng. Apparently, we're to have a scrimmage tomorrow, as a sort of diagnostic test, for him to assess our level of competence in basketball. Well, unfortunately for him, I have absolutely zero experience in playing basketball. Whee.
DAY TWO
FIL 12 I arrived at school fifteen minutes before the start of class, thankfully. (After hitting the snooze button on my alarm more than ten times, I was worried that I'd be late.) Anyway, it turns out that Fil 12 is way different from Fil 11, because we'll be focusing more on essay-writing and such. I got weird vibes from the teacher. I hope she wouldn't turn out to be another Ma'am Bellen.
BI 12 It turns out that our teacher for Zoology is Dr. Angtuaco, one of the founders of the Biology Department at Ateneo. She seems nice enough, but...gyah! I want Ma'am Lagunzad baaaaaaaaaaack...
BI 12.1 We have Gervert the Pervert (as christened by Rai-rai earlier) as our teacher. He seemed cool when he substituted for Lasala last semester, but it turns out that he's even WORSE than that weirdo.
Also...we have to dissect frogs? Worms? Mollusks? [insert animal here]? And (probably) go to UST Med School to watch cadavers being dissected? GYAAAAAAAAAAH. I can watch medical dramas without getting nauseated (I wanted to write "nauseous", but I bet Mr. Strunk would strike me down from beyond the grave if he had the chance), although I nearly hurled while dissecting a frog in high school. If I couldn't pluck up the courage to cut through a cadaver, then I should just go and kiss my future as a medical doctor goodbye. *sigh*
All in all, I think this semester is going to be more difficult than the previous one. But I hope that my prediction will be wrong, for once.
