iron man
WATCH IT. NOW.
The film had me going all OMGCAPSLOCKCAPSLOCKSQUEEEEE!!!!!!!111111 in my text message to Christine when I finished it because when she said it kicked ass, Iron Man really did kick ass. A lot.
No one wanted to watch it with me when I announced to everyone (well, my dad and my uncle) that I'm going to watch it tonight. So I lured my mom into watching it by promising that Robert Downey Jr played the eponymous role. (She loves Robert Downey Jr. and I think she'd seen every one of his films.) And at the end of the film she agreed with me that Iron Man indeed kicked ass. (I knew there was a reason why she's my mother.)
I felt totally stupid when my brain kept on nagging me about "Strategic Homeland Intervension, Espionage Logistics Directorate" because I knew that I know it from somewhere. Maybe if it was written down I would've recognized it as a backronym of S.H.I.E.L.D. earlier. In any case, I was all "DOI! It's S.H.I.E.L.D.!" when it was revealed. -_______-
And and and! That thing in the end, after the credits? With Samuel L. Jackson going all kickass!Nick Fury at Stark? I TOTALLY SQUEED AT THE THEATER. Because, OMG AVENGERS! AVENGERS!
I will be severely disappointed if SLJ didn't go all "Fie, motherfucker!" in the Avengers film. Very very disappointed.
