Finally did my post-Christmas shopping last night, at Tiendestias! 'Twas fun, especially while I was fiddling with Cori's gift...*evil laugh* Won't tell you what it is, though...

Anyway, the downside of last night's excursion is that I was exposed to a lot of chain-smoking people. Hence my current asthma.

I hate my weak lungs. But I hate tobacco companies even more. I'll die of lung cancer due to second-hand smoke at this rate.

Nannie's friend is coming over later, so I have to fix my side of the room. Damn.

Still waiting for A&D groupmates to go online. Am very sleepy, due to eating a large lunch.

I won't fit into my uniform anymore. *cries* oh well...

Hope that we'll be able to finish the speech this afternoon...I'm already tired of typing in "A&D - Busy" on my Y!M status...

I was rummaging through the pile of junk beneath my bed when I found my scribble-notebook from my second year. I miss that year, because it was a good year for me when it came to writing, since our elective was Journalism, and almost everybody in the classroom liked reading books, even if they weren't all bookworms.

Anyway I scanned it curiously, and I found the following amongst angsty and/or nonesensical scribblings:

  1. A really, really old Biology homework, the likes of which I hope I shall never see again
  2. Multiple drawings of Sir Velarde -- I even drew one of him as a goat! *evil laugh* (Admit it, he looks like a goat -- it's his goatee. That's why they call it that; goatee = a small, almost nonexistent beard, that reminds one of a goat's. Or whatever. Am I making sense?)
  3. A short story (around 500+ words, I think) describing, in gruesome detail, the death of my adviser-slash-CL teacher. Those were the good ol' days: everybody was suggesting highly creative ways to kill her off. *evil laugh*
  4. The solutions I used to compute the exact percentage of Maiar, Elven and Mannish blood in all the descendants of Luthien (only up to Elrond's children, of course - I'm not crazy enough to compute up to Aragorn, though when it comes to Eldarion, it'll be easier once again). It all started with the question, "Why are Elrond and Elros called the Half-Elven, when they are technically 6.25% Maia, 37.5% Man and 56.25% Elf?" Not only did it satisfy my curiosity, it made me realize that I've memorized the family tree of the families of Olwe, Finwe, and Elwe (in short, the family trees of every important Elf in The Silmarillion, The Hobbit, and the LotR trilogy). Yes, I'm obsessed. But so what? LOTR RULES!!!
  5. Proclamations of love and adoration for Maglor, son of Feanor.
  6. Ruminations about Celeborn the Wise, and why he's called thus.
  7. Many, many "The Courtship of Lady Galadriel"-esque drabbles, many of which involve Maglor being Galadriel's favorte cousin (maybe he is), and being quite helpful with Celeborn, (which may not really happen in The Silm seeing as Celeborn is Moriquendi, and therefore "inferior" to him, Maglor, a Calaquendi). [Saying that I'm obsessed with the notion of Maglor being a victim of circumstance, and therefore a good guy deep down, will be like saying that the Pacific Ocean is just a pond, or that Mt. Everest is as tall as I am.]
  8. A series of short stories, entitled The Adventures of the Political-Correctness Police, a title which seems strange to me right now, though it seems that I certainly didn't think so when I first wrote it. It's the adventures of an unnamed politically-corrective police officer who opens up dimension portals to bring politically incorrect people to a rehabilitation center. It was really quirky. Maybe I'll start writing them over again - it'll be fun. XD

I wanna write the way I used to write. I can't believe how careful I was with grammar and style back then, when I had Journ to worry about. Now I catch typos and awkwardly-phrased sentences whenever I read over what I write.
