2. After all the whining I've done over the required philosophy courses I had to take in undergrad, it's a bit ironic that one of the things that got me through the 7-day exam-taking spree that I just finished was this thesis statement for my Ph 102 orals:

Anguish makes us realize the unachieved status of the self. The threat of non-sense necessitates hope.
