i'm a little teapot

Okay, confession time: I haven't watched anything from SPN S7 beyond 7x02 yet, because I am in COMPLETE DENIAL THAT CAS MAY NEVER COME BACK. However, I still read the spoiler posts over at ontd_spnparty, mostly because I want to know the exact moment Misha Collins will make an appearance. (It has been said that hope springs eternal.) And the production stills from 7x12 JUST ABOUT KILLED WHAT BRAIN CELLS I HAVE LEFT.

1. Is it just me, or is the quality of SPN fic declining these days? Is this the end of the SPN fandom as we know it? I can't stand even just reading the summaries posted on my flist these days.

2. Dragon Age: Origins is my new crack. Spent most of yesterday reading the game guide and it took me almost an hour to customize my character's appearance. (I'm still not completely happy with it. IDEK, okay?) I don't know if I want to be a melee DPS rogue or a ranged one. On the one hand, playing my friend's tank character that one time freaked me out. On the other hand, KotOR taught me that I could do melee fighting well. Eh, it'll resolve itself.

3. I only noticed that Mark was reading Fellowship of the Ring when he posted his thoughts on Chapter 3. I'm planning to catch up and read along with him, because I last read LotR back in 2008, and I miss it. (Not looking forward to dealing with Tom Bombadil, though, that man is creepy.)

4. The new default entry page in LJ makes me want to gnash my teeth in anger. How the hell am I going to read my favorite kink memes properly now?

I was reading Dean/Cas handprint!kink fic, when I realized that I don't remember if Dean still has the scar in his hot smexy dream in 6x03. So I re-watched that part and the handprint wasn't there. Neither was his tattoo. WTF?

SPN's lack of continuity pisses me off. I get that they wanted a 'reset' and distance themselves from S5, but this? This is just plain laziness. Argh.

Now I'm craving retcon fic.

In other news, I'll be having my skills exam for cardiovascular and pulmonary PE in a few hours. I can perform the PE just fine, it's the theory behind it that I'm worried about. Blegh.
