NO CLASSES TOMORROW MWAHAHA.

I know, I know -- typhoons bring about pain and misery and death to humans, livestock, and crops and therefore isn't anything to be happy about -- but I can't help but feel happy because it means that I don't have to go through the flooded streets of Manila to get to school tomorrow!

Happiness is me :D

Dudes, this is one huge-ass typhoon:

It's covering all of Luzon and almost all of Visayas! (Yet the rains haven't started yet...now I'm getting nervous.)

Why the hell did I wake up early when there are no classes again? Gah.

'Scuse me. I'm going off to bed once more.

I REALLY REALLY WANT TO JUMP INTO THE PASIG RIVER AND BE SWEPT AWAY BY THE CURRENT AND DIE DIE DIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

(Really, this is just me not wanting to go out in the ultra-mini-typhoon.)

Gah, bah, and darnation. The drowned rat look is so not the in thing right now, but everyone seems to sport it for some reason. Hm. I wonder why. >__

SEVENTY PERCENT HUMIDITY FTW!

See, I love my country and all that, but it's bad enough that we're in the tropics; they really didn't have to throw humidity into the mix...

ETA: According to my dad, the humidity was 90-100% while my sister and I were out of the country. All I could say to that is: Thank God I wasn't here!

I knew this was too good to be true.

It started raining. A lot. No more sunshine in Denmark this week, boo-hoo! And to think that when we go back home, monsoon season would start soon. Blegh.

Am now cursing the stupid typhoon. It's Public Storm Signal #4, aka Don't You Dare Get Out of Your Homes Unless You Want To Be Blown Away By Gale-Strength Winds.

On the minus side, the wind is so strong, the supposedly air-tight windows are leaking water into our bedroom, the winds are whistling by at two-minute intervals, and we can't open the doors due to the fact that THE WIND IS PRESSING IN ON US.

On the plus side, our building is running on back-up generators, so we have limited power. We don't have classes, therefore negating the necessity of me trying to make my way back hom ein this weather. And I am so glad we're living on the 10th floor. I wonder how it feels like forty stories up. (Not very nice, I assume.)
