I'm going to get sick. It's just a matter of time before I develop a chill. Why is that so, you ask? Well, it's because of the stupid bipolar weather. One moment everything is fine and dandy and then -- BAM! As I was walking from the footbridge near the Grade School football field, the clouds suddenly decided to dump the maximum amount of water in the shortest time possible. And what was worse is that I only had a hoodie to protect myself from the rain. I daren't open my bag to get my umbrella lest everything inside gets drenched.

Anyway, as a result of my lovely mud-spattered sprint across the campus (thank goodness I was wearing shorts so I was able to wash off the worst of the dirt instead of walking around with muddy clothes all day), my clothes and hair were completely drenched. And to add to my luck, 3 out of the 5 classes I had today were held in air-conditioned rooms, which is not at all helpful in my situation. Gragh.

Now y'all are probably wondering why I have a smiley face on the subject of this entry. Well, I dunno...maybe it's because ATENEO WON AGAINST UE, 72-57??? The first quarter was particularly stressful for me, but the 2nd half of the game was WORTH it. Also, I may have lost my voice for the time being (what with all the cheering and jeering and shrieking I did), but I'm definitely going to find a way to get ringside tickets to Sunday's game against UST. I just wish we could come up with another clever poster by then, I wanna get featured in Fabilioh.com again. xD

Gakked from Dea's Multiply:

ADM 102: Introduction to Ateneo-La Salle Games
Thu/Sat/Sunday, 4:00 PM, Araneta Coliseum

Course Description
The course introduces the student-cheerer to the dynamics and principles of the Ateneo-La Salle rivalry. The course employs both theoretical and application dimensions. The theoretical phase exposes the student to the history of the rivalry, the tradition of cheering, the construction of the ideal Atenean 6th Man, and other theoretical concepts.

The application phase on the other hand requires the student to put into practice all the theoretical principles. These practices include, among others: effective skills in lining up for the games, cheering (pre-game, during the game, half-time and post-game), jeering, heckling, creating effective posters and banners for one's favorite players and posing and smiling for Fabilioh.com.

WOO-HOO! WE WON!

Just got back from eating dinner out with Banzy, Mirza and Dea at Eastwood, after watching the AdMU vs. UST game at Araneta. 'Twas muy fun! Not only did we win, we were shown on TV twice! Hee. xD

squeeage )

I'll post pictures once Rai and Banzy share it with the rest of us. (I don't have a camera, boo.)

My voice sucks right now. I've been cheering non-stop for more than two hours, since NU had a distinct lack of supporters (the game before ours was NU vs. FEU, and NU won, yay!). It really didn't help that after eating dinner at Falzoni's we had dessert at Dairy Queen. Ice cream is love, but it ruins one's voice after a game. xD

OH GOD I wanna watch the next AdMU vs. DLSU game! I'm so excited! 8D

I skipped PSY106 earlier because my stomach said, "HA! I SHALL ACIDIFY MYSELF AND MAKE VAL SUFFER!" and did just that. Gah. I blame the bagoong I ate earlier. It's been so long since I ate bagoong that I forgot exactly why I haven't eaten it for a long time. The stupid thing makes my stomach hyperacidic. Blegh. Oh well. I took two tablets of antacid earlier, though they started working just now, more than an hour later. @__@

UAAP-watching moments (I'm a bit bitter about not being able to get tickets for the game):

3.45PM - Ooh, NU vs. UST. GO USTE GO!

4.05PM - YAY UST WON!

4.15PM - Oh god, STFU pretentious people! Stop overdramatizing everything. So DLSU didn't play last season. WE ALL KNOW THAT. We all want the game to start like RIGHT NOW and you're not helping.

4.20PM - Ateneo's line-up is more diverse, racially speaking, than DLSU. Hm.

5.10PM - I go to the bathroom for less than a minute, and I go back to catch Norman Black and the DLSU coach arguing with the referee. Gah. Why do I miss these things? D:

5.13PM - The first half isn't over yet? These coaches and their obsession with timing out!

5.25PM - Halftime show! I still find the DLSU pep squad's arm movements dorky, although man do those guys have lower body strength! Doing those movements have to be a bitch to practice.

5.30PM - The BBB is doing their routine, and OMG STFU PRETENTIOUS COMMENTATORS! I want to watch the show, not listen to you prattle on and on. D:

6.05PM - OH GOD IT'S THE FOURTH QUARTER AND ADMU IS IN THE LEAD. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE LET US WIN LET US WIN!!!

6.29PM - The game isn't over yet, and GAH WE'RE CURRENTLY TIED, 65-65!

7.00PM - OMG WE WON WE WON WE WON WE FUCKING WON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
